Two for price of 1

The photographs on this blog are usually either George or a motorbike, so thought it was best to combine the two so as to please both camps. Since the last update, we have had a weekend away in the Cotswolds, whilst leaving the little man with my bother and his family in Swindon. For us, that meant time to read the paper, watch DVDs and generally lounge around at Cotswold House in Chipping Campden. As it was, George seemed to have a great time playing with his cousins. The following weekend, I went up to Leeds for the stag do of my old school mate Paul Haigh, whilst Sharon went down to stay with Ian and Angela in Poole. These weekends away means that the bike has hardly moved since I bought it, but that will all change in April. Project kitchen starts mid-April, which will see us surviving with a microwave, a fridge and probably more meals out that is healthy. Currently, we are juggling about 6-7 different trades people involved, but obviously we hope the results will be worth it.

It's arrived at last!

My new bike is now proudly sitting outside our house! I picked it up Wednesday afternoon in the bright sunshine from the BMW place in Hertford and in my ultimate wisdom, decided to get my hair cut afterwards. As such, it was pitch black when I left and to top it off, I had to go a different route home as the normal one was flooded by all the rain that we'd had overnight. So, what fun it was to ride a bike I was not familiar with down unlit country lanes (also unfamiliar), strewn with stones and sitting water. Furthermore, it is dirty already. Apologies for the picture, but digital cameras are pretty hopeless when it is pitch black.
