Sad, but....

I wrote earlier in the year about being time poor (and cash poor with it, but another matter)... I've since built this spreadsheet that manages all my projects, both at work and in life and breaks them down by do-able next step stages. Anyway, the cool thing I've now managed to do is put button into the spreadsheet that then sends that 'next step' (e.g. "Call so and so to arrange blah blah") into Outlook, with defined start and due dates. This then syncs with my PDA, so that I can set reminders well into the future. This last step (the ability to send to Outlook) has greatly increased my ability to get things done. Yeah, sad I know.

Bug-er #2

I did quite a long post a couple of evenings ago which was totally lost by the blogger webpage. Decided to put up my 8 desert island discs. The post was too long to reproduce, at least for now. In the meatime, our planning application has been rejected, so not in the best of moods about that. Does not necessarily mean that it won't happen, but its puts everything back and other things on hold...

Bug-er

The weekend just gone was wiped out by some bug that George most likely caught at the creche. Sharon and he had it last Wednesday, Sharon's sister came to stay and caught it Friday night and then I caught it Sunday afternoon. This wiped out our vist to the unveiling of the Breakthrough Challenge wall on Saturday in London and we also had to cancel barbecue on Sunday for George's first birthday, as we did not want to pass on to others. I was fortunate, given that I had quartet gig at the Globe theatre Saturday evening. It would not have been easy to find a viola player at such short notice. The gig went well... we're getting pretty good at these things now.
